Christophe Roux, currently Head of Governmental Sales Space Systems, has been appointed as the new Head of Sales Latin America within the Airbus Defence and Space Sales and Marketing organization.
He is taking over of this role in addition of his current responsibility in the Space Systems business line. In this new position, he’s reporting to Christian Scherer, Head of Commercial within Airbus Defence and Space.
Christophe Roux is taking over from Antonio Rodriguez Barberán, who will concentrate on his role as Head of Military Aircraft Sales, reporting to Christian Scherer and Fernando Alonso, Head of Military Aircraft.
He will gradually move into the new role and take on the full role by the end of the year at which time he will also be stationed in the Airbus Defence and Space Latin American office in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
Christophe Roux
Christophe Roux was appointed Head of Sales in Latin America for Airbus Defence and Space in April, 2015. He took on this role in addition to his current responsibility since 2007 as Vice President of Governmental Sales for the Space Systems business line.
As Head of Sales in Latin America, he holds the overall responsibility for all sales activities of the division in Latin America, coordinating all the business lines in the Region.
Prior assuming his position as Vice President of Governmental Sales for the Space Systems, from 2000 to 2007, he was Head of Sales and Business Development for Space Systems for Latin America and Africa.
Between 1997 and 2000, Christophe Roux was the Head of System Department within Assembly, Integration & Tests (AIT) in the former Astrium division and then Head of the Telecommunication Satellites AIT Division.
Based in Toulouse, he has 29 years of experience in Space domain, as well as 15 years of experience in Sales and Marketing for Space (Regional or World).
He began his career in various engineering and management positons within the Space industry in 1986. He joined the company in 1991 as development engineer in the Microwave Instrument Division and between 1994 and 1997 he worked as Microwave Instrument Project Manager.
Christophe Roux was born in 1961 in Montpellier (France). He is graduated as a RF electronics engineer and also holds a MBA.
